interests Holly Wichman is a biologist who uses bacteriophage in experimental evolution studies aimed at understanding the rules of viral evolution. When she turned 50, she decided to return to beading-a relaxing diversion she enjoyed in her youth. It is only that many of her images are biological. In April 2005 one of her beaded viral sculptures- Fred Astaireii-was published in Nature Genetics to illustrate a News & Views reporting the results of work from her lab. The must certainly be the first beaded bacteriophage ever published in an international scientific journal. | |
